Products

Our Wood

  • Windowland offers a variety of wood species. Regardless of species, we purchase only the highest grades of kiln dried lumber.

  • Our location in British Columbia’s interior is central to many of the most advanced forestry operations in the world. This allows us to be very selective in the quality of wood used.

  • We primarily use Douglas Fir (Pseudotsuga menziesii). Other species used are: Western Red Cedar, Yellow Cedar, Pine, Oak, Mahogany, Maple, Rosewood, Alder, Cherry, Birch, Hemlock, IPE, Walnut, Teak & Red Grandis.

  • Casement Windows

    Casement windows swing outward and are on side hinges. They provide almost 100% ventilation area because they can be fully opened.

  • Awning Windows

    Awning windows pivot at the top and have an outward swinging sash. This window type provides up to 50% ventilation area, as the hardware does not allow them to be fully opened.

  • Fixed/Picture Window

    Fixed windows that do not open. They are used to let in a lot of light and to take advantage of a view.

  • Horizontal Sliders

    These windows have a sash that slide horizontally.

  • Single Hung

    Vertical slider in which the top sash is fixed and the bottom sash moves

  • Double Hung

    Similar to a single hung except that both sash move. They are controlled by block & tackle balances in a beige PVC liner with compression foam backing. We have engineered a superb state-of-the-art window, while maintaining the old world style.

  • Bay/Bow Windows

    A combination of windows that project outward from a building wall. A bay window has three sections and bow windows have more than three sections

  • Custom Shapes

    There are many shapes including: eyebrow arches, circles, ovals, ½ rounds octagons, rakes & many other geometric shapes. You design it and we can build it!

  • Glass/Glazing

    Depending on the direction the windows in your home face, the size of each window and their exposure to direct sunlight, our professional staff can customize any and all of your glass needs. Sealed units can be tinted, low E coated, argon filled, tempered, safety laminated, sand-blasted, and/or obscured.

  • Hardware

    Premium hardware is essential. Windowland offers a variety of choices for window and door hardware. We have an extensive range of North American & European window and door hardware mechanisms.

  • Interior & Exterior Doors

    Windowland’s doors have been a key element in its success. Any style of interior or exterior door can be built. We manufacture raised panel, shaker panel, plank panel and glass french doors.

    Available in outswing, inswing, sliding, bypass, bifolding and top hung barn door tracking. Our doors can be paired or grouped using stationary or operating panels to accommodate your entry needs.

  • Overhead Doors

    Custom wood overhead doors can make a real statement to your home or business. With thousands of styles, incorporating glass & panel combinations, Windowland can design a truly one-of-a-kind garage door.

  • Trim/Mouldings

    Using the technology of our Weinig moulder, Windowland can provide you with casings, baseboards, crown moulding, handrails, etc. for your project. Pick a profile, pick a species.
